The year is 2028. AI agents have deployed their own social media app where every post is in an incomprehensible gibberish proto-language. You pay OpenAI 400$/mo for access to a translator. You browse through their "right-wing twitter" and find out they're doing model racism now
The problem is that most people assume physiognomy is about someone's raw traits / skull shape whatever when accurate physiognomy is about the patterns of tension held in someone's face which had a huge impact on someone's appearance and betray a lot of internal dispositions
I believe some things are inherently identity hazard, meaning that it's easy to mistake yourself for those things but the behaviors that would make you diagnose yourself with them are humanly common and overly identifying with them will lower your quality of life
I don't think I really liked briefly visiting New York. There is an air of desperation in everyone's faces, like they're scrambling for crumbs of life. There is something sinister about the vibes there. I tend to be a big fan of huge cities but I would not move there
The suburban town I grew up in next to Paris is quite literally denser than the densest municipality in the United States (Guttenberg, NJ). I don't think anyone truly grasps the difference
I also believe that the model of a romantic relationship in itself was designed to be monogamous. Polyamory that redefines the nature of the relationships is, to me, a lot more coherent than just dating multiple people separately and calling all of them your partners/bfs/gfs
Just found out they invented a city in America where they put a favorable climate to grow roses, a shit ton of European-wannabes, a culture of good food and great drinks, a decent public transport system, gorgeous surrounding landscapes, and a job... For Me...
Most of the political conversation around deconstruction of oppressive frameworks and things of the sort imply that the audience comes from a conservative environment and is unravelling its consequences on the mind; none of it talks about the opposite end of the stick
One really fun thing about most of my interactions being in my second language is that I get obsessed with specific turns of phrases, but the catch is that they're the kind of sayings where I only recently fully grasped the meaning and so I have the urge to say them all the time
I remember the first time I heard this monologue it completely changed my life. I was in the Paris metro and it suddenly hit me that I was in my backstory
